Acton of West Aston:

 

ACTON,  William, Esq., of West Aston, Co. Wicklow, M.P. for that Co., b. in 1789; m. 1817, Caroline, dau. of Thomas Walker, Esq., Master in Chancery, and has issue, Thomas, b. in 1826, William, b. 1828, Charles, b. 1830, and Jane.

Mr. Acton, who is Lieut. Colonel of the Wicklow malitia, is also a Magistrate and Deputy Lieutenant, and served as High Sheriff in 1820.

Thomas Acton, Esq., who m. Eleanor, dau. of Colonel Kempston, and granddau, of Thomas Maule, Esq., Commissioner of Customs, was father of

William Acton, Esq., who m. Jane Parsons, granddau. of Sir William Parsons, Bart. of Birr Castle, and was father of

Thomas Acton, Esq., of West Aston, who m. in 1780, Sidney, dau. of Joshua Davis, Esq., Barrister-at-Law, of Dublin, and had issue,

William, now of West Aston.

Thomas, m. Sidney, dau. of Hampden Evans, Esq., of Portrane, Co. Dublin.

Anna Maria, m. to Major Warburton, of Southfield, Co. Gloucester.

Jane, m. to George Drought, Esq., of Glencorry, Co. Wicklow.

Arms:-        Gu. two lions, passant, and nine crosses crosslet fitchee, arg.
