The following list of farms and their
owners has been compiled in the Deeds Office, Pretoria.
The compilation extends as far as
Machadodorp on the Netherlands line, as far as Warm Baths on the Pietersburg line, and
between Volkrust and Standerton on the Natal line.
It embraces all farms within 10 miles on
either side of the line within the above limits.
The List is arranged alphabetically in
Districts, and is intended to be used in conjunction with Jeppe's map (which shows the
District boundaries).
Some of the farms have been sub-let,
especially in the neighbourhood of Pretoria, and it has been found impossible at present
to include the names of these temporary owners.
Farms in the same District, bearing the
same names, are arranged in sequence of their Registered number.
