Larne Harbour
- Directory 1888:
Larne Harbour, although a continuation of the
Town of Larne, and included in the population estimate,
has no connection from the governmental point
of view. It has a separate Post Office under the
authority of Belfast, whereas Larne is a Head
Post Office dealing directly with the General Post Office
in Dublin. Larne also has a main
Railway Station, whilst Larne Harbour has it's own separate Railway.
Station, both serving the Belfast Line.
Larne also has a narrow-gauge railway link to both Ballymena
and Ballyclare.
